All students of University of Ljubljana (yes, you too!) are entitled to a subsidized student bus card. How to obtain one?

Prepare your valid identity card, students card/letter of acceptance;

bring 2 photos just in case;

have the form for the subsidized bus card prepared (THE FORM IS AVAILABLE HERE).
Have it all? Then you are ready to make a stop at the LPP Ticket Office at 56 Slovenska cesta.
Open: MON – FRI 7 A.M. – 7 P.M.
PS: It gets crowded on the first days in October.

Getting around
BY bicycle
Our beloved city is small but lovely – so why take a bus when you can stroll the streets on foot or even better – with a bicycle.
City's rent-a-bike system BicikeLJ is not only handy and available 24/7, but easy to use as well. But first, you must subscribe and choose a 7-day pass or a yearly pass:

If you are more of a »I want my own & I want it now« bicycle rider, then buy a used one for a couple of euros on an ONLINE MARKETPLACE.
Ok, now you are good to go and explore the highlights of Ljubljana.

How to reach Ljubljana from the airport

If you are arriving by bus or train, your final stop is the Main bus/train station in Ljubljana which is located in the heart of the city.
From here both student dormitories (Rožna dolina and Bežigrad) are within 30 minutes of walk. You can also obtain a prepaid Urbana bus card (you can buy and charge it at the bus station or any news stand) and take a bus.
To reach BEŽIGRAD DORMITORIES, you should walk to the bus stop Bavarski dvor (located in front of the main stock market building and the main LPP office) and take bus no. 6 (direction Črnuče). You hop off at the bus stop Mercator (the ride takes about 5-10 minutes) and walk towards Kardeljeva ploščad for 5 minutes in order to reach the dormitories (brown buildings) which are located next to the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Economics.
To reach the DORMITORIES IN ROŽNA DOLINA, you should walk to the bus stop Bavarski dvor (in this case you have to cross the main street) and take bus no. 14 (direction Vrhovci/Bokalce). You hop off at the bus stop Študentsko naselje (the ride takes about 5-10 minutes).
